THE number of Covid cases continued to rise in Test Valley in the past week as the region reported 1,066 new cases in the seven days leading to Wednesday, December 15.
This is 120 more than the number of cases reported in Test Valley in the previous week.
The case rate per 100,000 people is also higher in the region compared to the Hampshire average, according to NHS statistics.
The case rate per 100,000 people in Hampshire during this period was 738.6, while it was 838.3 for Test Valley.
An interactive map on the government website shows just how many people have tested positive for the virus in each area of the county over the seven-day period up to Wednesday, December 15.
South Wonston, Sutton Scotney and Micheldever is the most affected area in Test Valley with a case rate of 1,942.6.
Andover Newbury Road, Overton & North Waltham and Andover West also reported higher case rates during the same period, according to the latest available data.
As of December 19 there are 41,250 confirmed Omicron cases in England, which is up 6,777 from the day before. In the South East there are 8,584 confirmed cases.
The map allows users to type in their postcode and see how many cases were reported in their area and if it has increased or decreased from the week before. The darker the colour on the image, the more positive test results have been recorded.
The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
The map is split up into Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs), which are generally smaller than council wards and are based on population, rather than geographical area.
