RESIDENTS can once again attend Andover’s vaccine hub for a walk-in Covid vaccination, including third dose boosters, it has been revealed.
Last month, the popular Chantry Centre unit was forced to stop offering walk-ins due to 'supply issues' caused by high demand, and instead open up as many appointment slots as possible to prioritise local residents.
However, now that enough tie has passed to offer people this opportunity, walk-ins are once again being accepted on a number of days this week.
The clinics are running from Tuesday, January 4, to Saturday, January 8.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, these will take place between 8.30am and 12.30pm. On Thursday, the hours are 1.30pm to 5.30pm, and on Saturday it is 10am to 12.30pm.
Posting to Facebook on Friday, December 31, TVBC leader Cllr Phil North said: “A huge thank you to the dedicated doctors, nurses, surgery staff and volunteers who have worked between Christmas and New Year to get as many jabs in as many arms as possible. 63.8% of the population of Test Valley (12+) have now received their booster compared to the national figure of 58.3%.”
If you haven’t been boosted yet and you’d rather book an appointment than walk in, you can do so here at: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/coronavirus-booster-vaccine.
