AN Andover-based Crematorium has donated £12,000 to several charities within its local vicinity.
It is customary for UK crematoria to sensitively recycle the metal residues that remain at the end of the cremation process, and to direct any resulting revenue to good causes.
Charlton Park Crematorium has chosen to give £6,000 to Marie Curie London and South-East, £3,000 to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice which provides palliative and end of life care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness surrounding area, and a further £3,000 to Andover Neighbourcare, which has been helping local senior citizens for over 25 years.
Owned and operated by Pure Cremation, Charlton Park Crematorium provides a serene venue for the bereaved to say a final goodbye to their friends or loved ones in a beautiful setting.

Zoe McMillan, crematorium manager at Charlton Park Crematorium, said: “We are delighted to support charities that make a difference through friendship for older people as well as for ground-breaking research and end of life care.
“These organisations do fantastic work, touching lives across Andover and the wider area.”
