AN ANDOVER care home was filled with flowers, cards, sweets and chocolates in celebration of St Valentine’s Day on Monday.
The community at Rothsay Grange started the day by delivering cream tea gift boxes to Salon 73, Foxcotte Veterinary and Chantry Lodge independent living to share the love.
In the afternoon, residents had a lovely time celebrating this special day with cream teas, Prosecco and a homemade heart shaped cake.
General manager, Sherlyn Rowland, said: “We’ve all had a lovely day decorating the home and making gifts for each other and for our loved ones. Lots of our residents were able to see their loved ones either in person or via video call. We’ve had a whole range of treats and Valentine’s themed fun and we have enjoyed every moment of it!”
Bonnie, a resident at Rothsay Grange care home, added: “It has been a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get involved with the day’s festivities. I really liked cream teas with Prosecco and the homemade cakes were delicious and Tony sang some beautiful songs and was very entertaining.”
Rothsay Grange Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.
It provides nursing care, residential care, respite care and Dementia care.
