A TEAM of volunteers of Veterans In Action have returned to Andover after their trip to Poland and the Ukraine border to deliver essential items to refugees.
The volunteers said it was great to see that the supplies they took out have already crossed the Ukrainian border and are now in Kyiv and Kharkiv.
In a Facebook post, the Veterans in Action thanked all the residents who donated items and made a contribution to the fundraiser page.
The group also thanked the team that made the journey to Poland and its Polish partners who the items into Ukraine.
It was a huge, combined effort by everyone, the group said.
This was the second trip that the veterans made to Poland since the start of war.
The veterans have been working together for the past few weeks to ensure they are fully equipped and loaded with more essentials before they made the two trips.
They has a fleet of expedition vehicles that they put to good use.
