AN ANDOVER man who resisted a police officer in the execution of his duty has been ordered to pay compensation.
Richard Knight, of Dene Path, resisted PC Taylor in the town on February 24. He pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 50-year-old was ordered to pay £50 compensation. No order for costs was made as priority was given to compensation.
