MAGISTRATES have fined an Andover man after he was caught speeding in Bristol last year.
Daniel Winterton, of Leigh Road, was caught speeding on the M32 southbound on April 19, 2021. He was driving at 48mph – the speed limit on the stretch of road was 40mph.
The offence was dealt with by single justice procedure – where a magistrate judges the case on the basis of the papers alone without either party having to attend court for a hearing.
At Bath Magistrates’ Court the 38-year-old was fined £191 and had his licence endorsed with three points. He must also pay £90 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
