SINGING friends took their music to the streets of Andover this week to raise money for Ukraine.
Susan Vallis and Denise Paine, known as Just the 2 of Us, went busking on in the town centre on Wednesday to raise money for a friend’s son who has been travelling to the war-torn country to help those in need with provisions.
Susan said: “We usually sing in nursing homes in the area but with the restrictions at the moment we aren’t getting the bookings so we thought lets do something different.
“We sang a bit of everything and everybody loved it, they wanted us to come back. All ages were there from students bopping around to the older people who said reminded them of their youth.”

Susan said once the money is counted it will be given to her friend’s son to be able to buy what he needs to help Ukrainian refugees.
It is not yet known how much money has been raised, but Susan said that every little bit will help.
The pair, who met when they were in a choir together, usually raise money for Brighter Futures and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance through their singing.
