THE winner of an Easter raffle run by an Andover businesswoman in aid of the hospital which cared for her husband has been announced.
Meryl Cradduck of St Mary Bourne was the lucky ticket-holder, as the endeavor raised £400.
As previously reported, Ricky van Well, who runs Quilter’s Dream at the commercial centre in Picket Piece, wanted to give something back to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and show appreciation for the NHS heroes who helped her family after her husband suffered a stroke last year.
She decided to launch an Easter raffle of a luxury seasons-based quilt, with the winner selected on Saturday, April 16.
Including private donations, the raffle raised £400 for the HHFT Stroke Service.
Ricky said: “When my husband, Hans, was rushed into the unit following a stroke, the care he was given was amazing. Moreover, therapists continued to support him for weeks after he got home. Without them all, he would not have recovered. We cannot praise them too highly or thank them enough.”
The Service was represented by Steve Williams and the winning ticket was drawn by his daughter, Sienna.
