THE borough council has urged people to stop vandalising its signs and wasting taxpayers’ money.
Earlier this month an information board at Rooksbury Mill Nature Reserve was vandalised.
Tsest Valley Borough Council took to social media to air its frustration. It said: “Yet again, someone has vandalised the signage boards at Rooksbury Mill Nature Reserve, removing the ‘keep dogs on leads’ signs. Signage that is in place to keep wildlife safe in their home.
“Yet again, someone has wasted our resource - taxpayers’ money - in dealing with this incident.
“Yet again, someone has caused damage that costs money - taxpayers’ money - to fix, again.
“If you are not happy with the signage at the nature reserve, please contact us to discuss its importance.”
Three boards at the nature reserve were previously broken into in February and the ‘keep dogs on leads’ signs were removed.
