A BESPOKE events company run by a Stockbridge businesswoman is celebrating its fifth by expanding into a bigger unit to meeting growing demand.
Wilds Events, part of the Wilds and Co group, is turning five in May and having noticed a rise in enquiries post lockdown, the company has decided to increase its space enabling it to take on more events than ever before.
With a bespoke management service to suit clients’ vision and budget, Wilds Events work with a network of spaces and dedicated professionals to take care of venue hire, food, wine, music, flowers, décor and more to ensure each occasion is memorable and seamless as possible.
The Wilds and Co group, owned by Lucy Townsend, comprises five culinary offerings: Wilds Events, Greyhound on the Test, Wilds Kitchen, Kingfisher Hampers (picnic hampers featuring high quality, home-made food) and Wine Utopia (wine merchant offering well-made wines from small producers).

Lucy said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to be expanding our events side of the business - it goes without saying the last few years have been incredibly difficult for the industry and its humbling to have such an increase in demand.
“The bigger unit means that we will be able to cater for more events every month/year, and also expand our portfolio of partners to create many more Wilds Events.”
Lucy, who started her career as a pastry chef, worked for a number of hotel groups including Hotel du Vin and Merivale before purchasing The Greyhound in 2012. Since then, she has expanded the company exponentially, launching a trio of sister brands all specialising in seasonal, and local produce.
Phillip Bishop, exec chef of the group, began his career running a cafe kitchen in Southampton, before embarking on a three-year stint as sous chef at The Plough Inn with James Durrant. He then joined Lucy at The Greyhound in 2016.
