Meanwhile, the second open day will take place on Saturday 28th May 10:00-13:00 and will be part of the clubs’ Big Bowls Weekend.
The open days will allow anyone, irrespective of age or experience, to try their hand at bowling on the beautiful green – the only rule is to wear flat shoes.
New bowlers who sign up at one of the open days will enjoy half-price membership fees for their first year.
Members of the bowls club can either play for fun or choose to compete in leagues that play in the Basingstoke, Whitchurch and Salisbury areas.

Lawn bowling is an outdoor sport that rewards a steady hand and a tactical mind; it saw a surge of interest when Covid restrictions were lifted last year.
Among Andover Bowls Club’s members is the current Hampshire Women’s President, Cynthia Hamilton, who has broken records by becoming the Club’s Ladies Champion eight times.
