On Sunday, June 5, the celebrations will conclude with a “Big Lunch”, a free, communal lunch on the Village Green, starting at 11.30am.

The lunch will feature music from local band Jaccamanda, as well as various activities; 2 cars from Thruxton circuit will also be making an appearance at the event.

Every child who attends the event will receive a free gift; while the event is free, parents are asked to provide the names of their children in advance so everyone that attends can receive a gift.

Kate Christie, a member of Thruxton’s Jubilee planning committee, said: “I hope people enjoy it.

“We could all do with a bit of light in our lives at the moment.

“We’ve got four days of good stuff, and our tagline for the whole thing is ‘Something for everyone’, because we feel we have a family thing on the Thursday, something for our older residents on the Friday, a but of a hooley on the Saturday, and on the Sunday another family event, one that’s particularly aimed at the children.”

Tickets for all the events will be available to purchase at Thruxton Memorial Hall, every Wednesday morning from 10am – 12pm; they can be purchased with either cash or card.
