RESIDENTS in Andover can now access advice in person as The Citizen's Advice office has reopened in in the Chantry Centre.

Citizens Advice Test Valley can now have meetings face-to-face, at its office.

It has been operating remotely since the start of the pandemic just over two years ago.

Throughout those challenging times, the team helped people over the phone, and by email. The service also also introduced webchat that enabled many more people to contact them.

Following the easing of restrictions, many advisers have returned to the office and some people prefer to continue working from home.

Ange Moon, chief officer of Citizen's Advice Test Valley, said: “We were always aware that not everyone has access to the internet and some issues are just easier to understand face to face. We have missed that aspect of our work.

“Despite the difficulties and changes to our service in the last couple of years, we feel we have continued to provide the free confidential help that our clients need.

"We want to be able carry on helping the community of Andover."

She added: “Since the pandemic hit we have helped over 7,500 clients with 20,000 issues 80 per cent of them by phone or email and we have seen income gains totalling £450,000.”

A triage service will take place on Monday - Thursday mornings between 10am and midday at the offices in the Chantry Centre, opposite Boots.
