RESIDENTS in Andover are invited to plant a strawberry or tomato plant to take home, as the clinical commisioning group hosts a second 'Meet and Grow' event.
The event will take place at St Pauls Church, Smannell Road at a free event on Saturday, May 14 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and is particularly aimed at residents of Roman Way..
Expert advice will be available at the Meet and Grow event along with a number of stalls including Solutions for Health, RCS pantry, Andover Trees United, and the Walk and Talk group. Plus free tea, coffee, juice, biscuits and fruit will be available.
Helen Coleman, transformation manager at the Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight CCG said: “This is a great event to bring together the local community and a brilliant opportunity for budding gardeners to hear expert advice. We can even deliver your planted strawberry or tomato plant to your home if you are unable to carry it.”
The event is being supported by a number of local community groups and is being funded by Test Valley Borough Council, Rooting for Andover and the NHS Healthier Communities Project.
This follows on from the very successful event held in King Arthur’s Way last month.
