THE Highclere Show is set to provide heaps of family fun over the May half term.
The fun-filled show makes the perfect day out for the whole family, with lots of acts, demonstrations and country-inspired activities for everyone to get involved in and enjoy.
The show will take place within the magnificent grounds of Highclere Castle, over May 28 and 29.
Many residents may recognise the Castle from ITV’s popular show Downton Abbey, where all ages can enjoy the many stalls and features at the event, whilst also taking in the truly beautiful setting too.
From a fantastic line-up inside the Main Arena, including headliners the Knights of Middle England, to the British Falconry and Raptor Fair, where visitors can marvel at the wonderful display of birds.
On top of this there will also be lots of musical entertainment from the Folk Roots performers and an abundance of have-a go activities for visitors to try too, there will be endless fun for all ages.
For the younger ones visiting Highclere, there will be a dedicated Kids Zone with plenty of kid-friendly features, including balloon modelling, face-painting, a Punch and Judy Show and also gold panning.
Elsewhere within the showground, families can also find the ever-popular bungee trampolines, bouncy castles and crossbows and catapults too.
Not forgetting the bigger kids, the Highclere Show has hundreds of stalls selling all kinds of countryside goods and accessories. From the delectable homemade goodies inside the Food Village to worldly collectables in the Craft and Antiques Marquees, Highclere has hundreds of top-line exhibitors selling the finest in countryside apparel and hand-made goods to admire and to take away.
For those residents who prefer sports there’s lots of have-a-go activities for all ages to try out. From fun with your four-legged friend inside the gundog scurries to improving your shot with the experts at the clay shooting line, there’s plenty of opportunity for visitors to try something new across the weekend.
The show is promised to provide something different to entertain families over the May half-term holiday.
