THE organisers of the inaugural Soapbox Derby in Andover have presented a cheque for £8,500 to Andover Mind.
Andover Community Events arranged the popular race day on May 29 at Hopkinson Way, which saw more than 3,000 people turn out to watch more than 20 teams compete.
The event raised a fantastic £8,500 for mental health charity Andover Mind, with the cheque presentation taking place last week.

Kevin Rush, of Andover Community Events, said: "We are so grateful to everybody that was involved in making this phenomenal amount of money and to everybody that contributed to an amazing day.
"The amount and the event exceeded our expectations and we are already planning for bigger and better next year. We love how Andover can come together and have a great day whilst raising funds for great causes.
"We look forward to seeing you all again next year, on May 28!"
