AN ANDOVER woman has been forced to pay nearly a thousand pounds by a court after she ‘failed to take all measure available’ to ensure that a transfer of household waste was to ‘authorised transport’
On October 25 2021, Paula Araujo, of Halter Way, failed to take the necessary steps to verify the transporter of her household waste, which was later connected to a flytipping incident.
On June 7 2022, the Araujo admitted to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court and was handed a £480 fine.
She must also pay costs of £458.02 and a £48 surcharge, making a total of £986.02.
