A VILLAGE near Andover has unveiled its brand new sign, which incorporates the area's specifically designed logo.
At a small unveiling ceremony following the meeting of Penton Mewsey Parish Council on Monday (June 13), the plaque was revealed by vice chairman Cllr Stephen Millen, who has been the driving force for the village to have its own sign.
The process has taken just under four years to achieve since concept of the village logo.
A parish council spokesperson added: "Grateful thanks go to Cllrs Linda Lashbrook and Chris Donnelly for their kind contributions, to Luke who erected the sign and to a local young resident who won our village emblem competition back in June 2018 on which the final design has been based.
"A beautiful sign to enhance our lovely village."
