A MAN from Weyhill has been handed a fine after driving along a motorway in South Yorkshire at 15mph above the speed limit.

Mark Justin Colman, of The Old Post Office, was driving a Mercedes on the M1between junctions 33 and 32 at Rotherham on July 28 2021.

The 54-year-old was recorded driving at 65mph. The limit was 50mph.

At Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Friday, June 10, he pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure and was handed a £53 fine.

Colman mist also pay costs of £110 and a £34 surcharge, making a total of £197.

His driving record was additionally endorsed with three penalty points, and he was disqualified for six months due to repeat offending.
