AFTER a three-year absence due to the Covid pandemic, Andover Carnival is set to make a a much-anticipated return on Sunday, July 17.
Vigo Park will once again host a funfair, an array of stalls and a stage showcasing more than eight hours of local talent.
To compliment that, the procession will once again be making its way from Weyhill Road at 4pm, through town to finish up by all the other action near Vigo Road around 5.30pm.
Kevin Rush, chair of the carnival committee, said: "We are so pleased to be back and hope to deliver a day of celebrating that Andover deserves.
"With just under 30 groups making up this year's procession, and a field full of stalls, caterers and live music we hope the Carnival will bring the community together for a day of family fun."
As with every year, the carnival will be raising funds for local causes and this year every penny collected from the procession and from park entry donations will be given to the charity Andover Twenty1.
The charity provides support to children with Down's syndrome, and their families, from birth and through school.
