To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, a Hampshire brewery decided to produce a limited-edition ale and named it Platinum Reign after the Queen’s 70 years of service.
Alongside the launch of Platinum Reign Andwell Brewery, in Hook, ran a competition where the public and trade customers could purchase the beer and enter their details to be in with a chance to win a 2.5 platinum bar minted.
Entries for the competition closed at midnight on Sunday, June 5 with a winner to be announced the following day.
The winner, who was randomly selected, was David Clement, who purchased his Platinum Reign at The Andover Tap, in The Lamb Inn, in Winchester Street.
This week, the team from Andwell Brewery visited to The Andover Tap to present David with his winning piece of platinum and meet landlord Tim Abraham.
