THE council is seeking new retailers for pop-up catering at a popular Andover park.
Test Valley Borough Council is looking for a temporary pop-up café to be provided over the summer months at Vigo Road Recreation Ground, commonly known as Vigo Park.
Advertising the opportunity on its website, TVBC wrote: “We’d love to hear from anyone who can keep visitors to the park supplied with great coffee, tea, cake and ice cream!
“The pop-up arrangement will run throughout the week in August and weekends in September.”
Cllr David Coole, mayor of Andover, added: “I am delighted that TVBC are now starting to deliver on my motion back in November 2020, to deliver improvements to Vigo Road Recreation Ground.
“Following the public consultation, TVBC has agreed to test the water to see if residents want a permanent cafe/pavilion with public toilets in Vigo Park. They are looking for a temporary pop up café to be provided over the summer months at Vigo Recreation in Andover. Public toilets are also planned.
