ANDOVER Choral Society had an enjoyable afternoon singing at the Guildhall in Andover last weekend.
On Saturday, July 16 choir members and guests were led by musical director, Peter Ford, and accompanist, Julie Aherne, through a rehearsal in the afternoon followed by a performance with the soloists together with instrumentalists from Westminster Chamber Orchestra.

A spokesperson from the society said: “It has been fantastic singing our programme this year and this was a fun way to finish our summer season. If you are interested in joining us when we start again in September, please contact Mrs Frances Lynn, on email.”
The four soloists were Claudia Wood (Soprano), Kim Hawthorn (Alto), Simon Ashmead (Tenor), and Fred Broom (Bass).

The deputy mayor of Test Valley Borough Council, Cllr Phil Lashbrook, and the deputy mayoress, Cllr Linda Lashbrook were in attendance for the concert.
