DRIVERS in and around Test Valley will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M27, from 8pm October 17 2019 to 6am August 2 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5 to junction 4, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.
• M3, from 9pm January 18 2021 to 6am August 4 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 9, slip road and lane closures for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network.
• M27, from 9pm October 22 2018 to 6am August 6 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5, slip road closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
• M3, from 9pm October 10 2018 to 6am August 13 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound to M27 eastbound, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am August 16 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A34, from 8pm July 18 to 6am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closure for barrier works.
• M271, from 9pm August 1 to 6am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 northbound, junction 1, slip road closure for electrical work, diversion via National Highways network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
