A football club based in Charlton has submitted a planning application to build a new 100-seater spectator stand at its home ground.
Andover New Street Football and Social Club is seeking permission from the Test Valley Borough Council to demolish its existing seated stand and replace it with a new 100 fully-seated stand at Foxcotte Park in Hatherden Road, Charlton.
The club said in its application: “These 100 seats must afford a good view of the pitch and be clean, functional and in good condition. There must be a minimum of 16 seats provided for Directors/Committee and guests with a minimum of 8 seats provided for the visiting club. These seats must be clearly marked ‘Home’ and ‘Away Directors’."

The application said that the existing raised seated stand (lorry bed) is structurally unsound, and is suffering significate timber rot, and is uneconomic in terms of repair.
The structure will be removed if the planning application gets a green light.
The new stand will be in accordance with The FA National Ground Grading – Category F, the club said.
In a Facebook post, the club said they are applying to Test Valley Borough Council for a Community Asset Fund of £25,000 towards the cost of the new stand and a disabled access.
The club said the new facilities would cost £51,000.
"The old stand is now seen its better days and is in need of replacing so a new one is essential," it said.
