A COMMUNITY art project is set to run next month, celebrating the historic and iconic role of the Guildhall in Andover.
As part of Test Valley Borough Council’s Four Fun Fridays events, Bring Together Andover CIC - run by Dmitrijs Meiksans MYP, is organising the Our Guildhall project.
A giant drawing of the Guildhall by artist Emilio Di Pietro, will be printed onto a large sheet of paper, and participants on each of the four dates can dip their finger into paint, and place it onto the drawing of the Guildhall.
At the same time, an exhibition about the building’s history will be on display in a gazebo outside the venue.
The finished piece will then either be displayed somewhere prominent in Andover, or kept as part of a community time capsule.
Dmitrijs said: “The Guildhall is an iconic part of Andover and a key piece of infrastructure. This will bring the community together to celebrate and learn about it.”
