A Rotary Club has presented a cheque for £2,000 to Andover's Foodbank.
The contribution from Anton Rotary Club, was presented by club president Ian McLeod to Jenny LeLean, the manager of Andover Foodbank, at a time when the squeeze on family incomes is driving more families to seek additional help.
The money will help the foodbank to purchase some of the essential food items needed to assemble the food boxes that are given to individuals and families struggling through these difficult times.

Jenny said: "This donation will really help in enabling the foodbank to continue providing food support when the demand has been increasing and is at unprecedented level for this time of year."
Ian added: "Anton Rotary Club will continue to support the Foodbank when possible. The club continues to raise monies for local community needs and is grateful for the support Andover residents give to the club's activities throughout the year."
