AN ANDOVER anti-litter campaigner has completed her annual inventory of the town’s litter bins.
Throughout July, Manuela Wahnon, who runs a blog entitled Attitude of Gratitude, worked solidly, visiting more than 120 locations in the town recording the sites of each bin.
The environmental campaigner and Andover resident does this at the very least once a year, so that she always knows where they are, to aid with her regular litter picking rounds.
However, this year she discovered that one bin - located near to Andover train station - was completely swamped with weeds.
She therefore spent several hours clearing and transforming the area to make the bin visible.

In 2009, Manuela was awarded with a Pride of Andover Award for her services to the environment, and in 2014 was presented with a Point of Light award from then-Prime Minister David Cameron for being a “litter-picking champion”.
She also spent many years speaking about environmental issues in local schools, and still meets many of the past pupils she spoke to when out and about in the town.
