AN ANDOVER restaurant is set to close after receiving a zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Captain’s Mezze and Fish Bar, located at 16a Bridge Street, was given the minimum score after an assessment on June 30, the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) website shows.
A spokesperson for the restaurant has said that it will close at the end of August due to the rating and is pending new management.

This rating means that of Test Valley’s 166 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 133 (80 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
The restaurant is a combination of authentic Turkish mezze and fish restaurant and has options for both take away meals and in restaurant dining.
Captain’s serves a range of food and offers both vegetarian and children’s menus.
The FSA was established in 2000 and works to protect public health in relation to food in England.
