AN EVENT for showcasing what care home options there in Andover for people who want to remain in their own homes will take place next week.
Alina Homecare, which is based in Picket Piece, is a care provider for people in their own homes or for adults who need care and support in many different ways.
The event will be held at the Phoenix Centre on Pilgrims Way on September 8, from 10am to 2pm, and aims to provide people with an insight on what options they have to be able to remain at home and as independent as possible.
A range of organisations will also be attending the event, such as Andover Mind, Test Valley team, Age Concern, Hampshire County Council care options team and Valley Leisure.
Jade Hudgel, branch manager of Alina Homecare, said: "This is my first big event that I have decided to run, I am very passionate about care and how we support people so it's exciting to be able to give this a go!
"We want to provide information for those who may not know where to find it from, Google can be quite a sandpit when you type in care and support, it just brings you up a lot of care agencies, which isn't necessarily what someone needs, they may just need a companionship or somewhere to go to have a break from life."
Alina Homecare has invited all of the community to attend.
