THE Army Flying Museum is launching a new monthly activities session for budding young pilots aged five and under.
The new club, dubbed ‘Pre-school Pilots’, will have dedicated use of the soft play area at the museum, as well as lots of fun craft activities and trails to keep little ones busy.
From the new year, the museum will also have its very own custom-made aeroplane pedal cars to add to the fun.
Lucy Johnson, chief executive of the museum, said: "We love to welcome our young visitors and see the delight on their faces as they see the aircraft and helicopters inside the museum.

“The summer holidays have seen the museum welcome lots of younger visitors who really enjoy all the interactive exhibits we have on offer and in particular, the chance to sit inside some of the aircraft.
“We hope the new sessions will be a welcome addition to the wide range of activities we provide for children and families.”
The first session of Pre-School Pilots will take place on September 9 completely free of charge, although places will need to be booked in advance.
Subsequent sessions will cost £5 per child with one accompanying adult free of charge.
Sessions will run from 10.30am–12 noon and can be booked by either calling 01264 781086 or by visiting armyflying.com/what-s-on/.
