A CARE home near Andover put on some tasty treats for residents, and their families and friends.
Rothsay Grange Care Home went all out for a welcome back BBQ, with families coming from as far as Arizona to enjoy the day.
During the event a raffle raised £200 for Alzheimer’s society. Staff have said a ‘massive thank you’ to Emma Edwards therapies, The Petal Boutique, Mottisfont, the Hawk Conservancy, Waggy’s Café and Weyhill Farm Shop for donating raffle prizes.
General manager at the home Sherlyn said: “The BBQ is a great excuse for us to [get outside in the sunshine and enjoy the BBQ in the beautiful gardens. We won’t let the rain stop us celebrating! It is lovely to be able to make the most of the summer sun.”
Margaret, a resident at the home, said: “I’ve always loved a BBQ, it is so nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine with my friends and family. The food was absolutely delicious, a lovely burger, with some pasta salad and the strawberries were so sweet – it was a perfect day.”
