MANY terrific comedy acts are coming to Salisbury for nights filled with plenty of laughter and residents are invited.

Kicking things off on Saturday, September 10 audiences can join BBC Radio 4’s cop-turned-comedian Alfie Moore for his latest stand-up tour show at Salisbury Arts Centre

Fair Cop Unleashed is based on a dramatic real-life incident from Alfie's police casebook. Relive with him the thrilling ups and downs of the night a mysterious clown came to town and more than one life ended up in the balance. It was no laughing matter – but this show certainly is! Enjoy Alfie’s unique brand of humour hilariously woven together with his personal insights into his life on the front-line of the police force.

On September 17 at Salisbury Playhouse residents can enjoy the Jenny Eclair: Sixty! (FFS!) tour, Having hit 60 (but still a year younger than Madonna), Jenny Eclair AKA ‘The Face of Vagisan’ confronts a new decade of decrepitude.

Later on in the month on September 24 Ed Gamble will be taking to the same stage. Due to overwhelming demand, the award-winning comedian has extended his brand-new stand-up tour Electric.

He’s been on the road since February, played three sold out nights at London’s iconic Hackney Empire and now Ol’ Broken Pancreas is charged up and ready to flick the switch on even more nights of attention seeking.

He has also seen and heard on Mock the Week (BBC2), Live At the Apollo (BBC), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky), QI (BBC2), Would I Lie To You (BBC) and Sunday mornings on Radio X alongside Matthew Crosby.

Also at the Playhouse on October 4 to 8 a new play called SPIKE will be on hand to entertain residents. SPIKE is an absurdly funny new play by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman  that delves into the inner workings of one of our most unique and brilliantly irreverent comedy minds.

It’s the booming fifties, and Britain is in the clutches of Goon mania as men, women and children across the country scramble to get their ear to a wireless for another instalment of The Goon Show.
