AN EX-carpenter who was forced to live in his car for months finally has a place to stay after approaching the Advertiser for help.
Bill Webber, who suffers from severe brain injuries, had no choice but to leave his family in March this year.
Since then he has been living in his 2008 Ford Fusion, parking up at different locations throughout Andover and the wider area.
During the five months he has been living and sleeping in the vehicle. On one occasion he spent his last £2.50 to shower at an Andover sports centre.
The 60-year-old said: “To have to live outside on the streets or in fields for five months now, with no possibility of being housed in suitable accommodation, in the area where I have lived for 50 years, or more, is too much to deal with."
