Applications open today for Hampshire Constabulary's new Chief Constable.
It follows yesterday's announcement by current chief, Olivia Pinkney, who is to leave policing after more than 30 years.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones will oversee the recruitment process.
She says she is seeking 'an ambitious, straight talking, strategic leader' for the top job across the two counties.
PCC Jones said: "It has been an absolute pleasure working with Olivia and we will continue to work closely until her last day in spring 2023.
"This timeline provides me with the opportunity for a well-planned transition and recruitment process to ensure I can hire the best person for the job."
