FOOD hygiene ratings have been released for five restaurants and takeaways across Test Valley.
Published by the Food Standards Agency, the ratings range from zero (urgent improvement is required), to five (hygiene standards are very good).
However, it is important to remember that the food hygiene ratings reflect the standards of food hygiene, not food quality.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five establishments in Andover, the agency's website shows.
Restaurants, cafes, and canteens
The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes and canteens.
- Rated 5: KFC, Northern Avenue Retail Park, Northern Avenue, Andover; rated on August 4
- Rated 4: Mandarin Chef at Winchester Road, Crampmoor, Romsey; rated on July 27
Pubs, bars, and nightclubs
The following rating was given to one pub, bar, or nightclub.
- Rated 5: The Mayfly at Romsey Road, Fullerton, Stockbridge; rated on August 24.

The following ratings were given to two takeaways.
- Rated 5: Keskins at 20 Union Street, Andover; rated on August 18.
- Rated 4: Show Boat Fried Chicken at 18 Union Street, Andover; rated on July 28.
