TEST Valley Borough Council (TVBC) has recieved an award for the support they provide to military families and veterans.
TVBC has been awarded with the silver employment recognition service, by the MoD, SERFCA.
This was presented to Cllr Nick Matthews by Hampshire Lord Lieutenant at the annual award ceremony in Portsmouth.
The council's Civilian Military Forum has achieved a lot over the past 18 months, and this recognition for TVBC and their forum partners is a proud day.
They have provided mental health support, veterans clubs, community engagement partnerships, forming a new business and employment network and have also began new partnership with local further education providers.
Cllr Matthews said: "I am genuinely proud and thrilled at the efforts and passion of our CMF members and partners in achieving this prestigious award.
"We are committed to continue expanding and advocating our local businesses and support groups in signing the armed forces covenant, and 'going for gold.'"
