AN Andover resident has recalled her fond memories of the Queen as she went to Windsor Castle to lay some very special flowers
Jill Hannington said she was just 11 years old when King George IV died.
She said: "I first saw our Queen at Buckingham Palace Gates a few weeks after her Coronation.
"In the 1990s l was previlged and Honoured to be invited to A Royal Garden Party with the Queen.
"I so wanted to pay may respests to Her Late Majesty but could not stand in London.
"So my daughter kindly took me to Windsor to lay flowers and pay my respests."
While paying her repsects Jill laid some special flowers ahead of the Queen's funeral which took place on September 19.
She added: "Oaktrack provided a most beautiful bunch of flowers in autumn colours which l laid at the gates of Windsor Castle.
"All the flowers were so beautiful plus Paddington was there too.
"It was truly remarkable."
