A WELL-LOVED collectable shop is planning to organise a Comic Con in Andover next year.

The popular shop The Geek Emporium in Waterloo Court is planning to hold Andover’s first-ever Comic Con after successfully organising GeekFest two years in a row.

In a Facebook post, The Geek Emporium said: “Yes, you heard it here first.

“Andover's first ever Comic Con is happening next year in 2023!

“For those who didn't know, there were plans this year to do it but for those that did know, thank you for not letting the cat out of the bag.

“We [have] been planning this for a few years (before the shop) and we just needed to know it was going to be welcomed.

“After the success of GeekFest, two years in a row, we know that you're ready for a Comic Con!

“It is going to be like nothing Andover has ever seen.

“More details to come but we are so excited to finally share this with you.”

The shop, which has been well loved by residents in the area has been at the heart of Andover since it opened.
