Dear Editor,
Long time no read? Well here I am, what would you like to hear?
Today, I was delighted to read our local news this week. Enham disabilities trust is linking up with Aster. A large, well-known company. They do cover the exterior of my property and a professional piece of roof tiling is now complete. Despite scaffolding and the weather, we the residents did not notice any problems at all.
I am friends with quite a few Enham disabled residents and have seen their spacious flats, parking and do feel their bathrooms particularly need refurbishment.
I also read up about how our local Andover War Memorial Hospital is to develop more facilities. The hospital originated in 1876 to commemorate those lost in the First World War. I see a community diagnostic centre is now planned. The current facilities of our local clinics and blood tests, is well used.
Listening to folk, I agree the negative of Andover is the lack of shops now. No M&S. Empty Chantry Centre and so many coffee shops.
Not everyone can travel to other towns and cities such as Salisbury and Winchester.
