AN ANDOVER man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after he failed to provide a specimen.
Scott Campbell, of Winchester Road, was ordered to provide a specimen for analysis when he was suspected to have committed an offence in Basingstoke on June 28. However, he did not provide one.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court Campbell pleaded guilty to the offence.
The 33-year-old was told to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
He was also told to pay a £95 victim surcharge.
MAGISTRATES have disqualified a woman from driving after she was caught over the drink drive limit.
Sarah Moulton, from Houghton, was stopped on the A303 behind the wheel of a Land Rover on July 6.
It was found that she had 90 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court the 47-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.
Moulton was disqualified from driving for 23 months and fined £200. She must also pay £85 court costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
A TIDWORTH man has been banned from getting behind the wheel after he was found drink driving.
Kenneth Mi-Ria, of Medicina Street, was stopped on King Arthurs Way, in Andover, while driving a Ford S-Max on September 11.
It was found that he had 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
The 42-year-old admitted to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrates disqualified Mi-Ria from driving for 15 months and fined him £400. He must also pay a £160 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
MAGISTRATES have ordered a 21-year-old to complete 300 hours unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to four offences.
Louis Eden admitted to assaulting police officer Elliot Churcher in Basingstoke on August 29, while he was carrying out his job.
On the same day he assaulted two women and police officer Jack Stott in Andover, and a woman in Aldershot.
Eden, of Picket Road, Andover, admitted to the offences during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
He was also ordered to complete up 25 rehabilitation days and pay compensation totalling £550.
He also admitted to two counts of criminal damage which took place in Wiltshire.
On July 29, in Tilshead, he damaged a Wilshire Police van by smashing the unit, smearing blood within the cage and kicked a light. On the same day in Tidworth he damaged three televisions belonging to Tidworth Sport and Social Club to the value of £700.
Magistrates ordered him to complete 300 hours unpaid work and up to 25 rehabilitation days. He must also pay £700 to the social club in compensation and £50 to Wiltshire Police.
