A wanted man who disappeared midway through his trial for alleged child sex offences has been found, police have confirmed.
Hampshire Constabulary launched a search for Trevor McCurdy, from Havant, in May after he skipped court after two days of hearings at Portsmouth Crown Court.
He is accused of molesting two girls and faced five charges of sexual assault of a girl under 13, three involving touching and two of penetration, between 2020 and 2021.
A police spokesperson confirmed that he has been found.
They said: "You may recall we issued a wanted appeal for a man who failed to appear in court in connection with sexual activity with a girl under 16.
"To update you, a 69-year-old man from Havant has now been arrested for failing to appear and remains in custody at this time. Thank you for sharing our appeals."
