A CRAFT fair is coming to Andover this October, with all proceeds going to charity.
Andover Craft Fair has announced its latest date and raffle, with all monies being donated to Andover Young Carers, a charity that provides support and respite to children and people up to 18 years old.
The craft fair will be held in the Village Hall at the Fairground, Weyhill on Saturday, October 29 from 10am until 3pm.
Event organiser, Sarah Terry, 71, has partened up with organiser Lorraine Cox, who shares a close relationship with Simply Health, who have agreed to match proceeds up to a certain limit.
Sarah said: "We started doing it in aid of the Andover Lip Readers because my husband used to go there, but now it's no longer going, my friend who does the organising for the fair also works for Simply Health. If she organises anything like this, Simply Health will match anything we make. We have been doing this for about six years."
Sarah chose Andover Young Carers in aid of the young, local people that are in need of extra support.
She said: "We have had very good attendance right from the start. This gives us an aim in life. We have something to work towards. We all like doing crafts of all various sources. It's something to do."
Guests can expect cakes, an array of various crafts, people to talk to, a raffle and a tombola.
