ANDOVER'S motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 8pm September 23 to 6am October 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 and M3 eastbound and westbound, junction 8, link road closures for structures works, diversion via, junction 9 and return via A34 to Bullington.
• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am October 15 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A303, from 9pm October 13 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Salisbury Road to Picket Twenty, Lane closures for drainage work.
• A303, from 9pm October 20 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Hundred Ache to Winchester road, Lane closure for drainage.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
