GET ready to blast off this October half term as a military flying museum turns its attention to all things space related.
The Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop is hoping visitors will be completely star-struck by lunar rocks and will marvel at the meteorites which have been loaned to the museum by the ‘Borrow the Moon’ box scheme, created by the organisation UK Research and Innovation.
Genuine samples from space will give visitors an exciting opportunity to engage with some unique pieces of space history.

In addition, the museum has daily craft activities and several creative trails taking place throughout the half-term holidays with both space and Halloween themes, regular dress-up stations, jigsaws, interactive exhibits and of course, the opportunity to sit inside the helicopters within the museum.
And if you are visiting the museum on Sunday, October 30, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Mannequin Man who will be trying to disguise himself in and amongst the exhibits.
Lucy Johnson, chief executive of the Army Flying Museum said: “We always enjoy offering a variety of free family activities during the school holidays, which gives visitors real added value for their annual passes.
“Everyone that visits the museum only has to pay once to get a free annual pass, so they can come back as often as they like throughout the year including all the school holidays.”
All holiday activities take place daily from 10.30am-1.30pm.
