ANDOVER'S motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M27, from 8pm September 5 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 5, slip road and lane closures for street lighting work, diversion via National Highways network.
• A303, from 8pm September 23 to 6am October 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 and M3 both directions, junction 8, link road and lane closures for structures work, diversion via National Highways network and local authority.
• M3, from 8pm September 21 to 6am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound to M27 eastbound, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
• A303, from 8pm September 16 to 6am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound and westbound, Thruxton to Salisbury Road, Lane closures for drainage work.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A36, from 8pm October 20 to 6am October 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 2 to 3, carriageway closure for structures work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
• A303, from 9pm October 20 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Hundred Ache to Winchester road, Lane closure for drainage.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
