Andover BID’s Board of Directors has appointed a new member.
The new board director is Nick Waterman from Simplyhealth, a company that provides health cash plans.
Nick’s role in Simplyhealth is within facilities management, having worked for the company for 16 years covering a variety of senior roles.
Nick’s experience includes Facilities and Fleet Management, leading maintenance, and administration teams across six office buildings in Andover, Winchester, Manchester, and Leeds as well as retail stores across the UK.

With recent property consolidation he now focuses on Andover with responsibility for hard and soft services, budgets, contract management, purchasing, building fabric maintenance and refurbishments, office moves, health & safety, and buildings related crisis management.
Nick said: “It’s important to us as a large Andover employer that the town is competitive and vibrant where the business has a strong voice. I am particularly interested in a town centre with a vision and planning to meet the changing environment.
“As an Andover BID director, I am looking forward to working closely with the local authority and helping to shape the future of our town positively. My passion for Andover means that I am delighted to have joined the BID board, wanting to help make a positive difference. “
The Andover BID Board is made up of members which are all business sector representatives and drawn from Andover’s local town centre business community.

Andover BID Chair, Ange Moon said: “We are delighted to receive Nicks’ application to join our board. We are a proactive but small BID and are truly representative of the town with our board section specific and drawn from BID members.
“We meet bi-monthly with Steve Godwin; the BID manager and our role is one of governance ensuring the Andover BID has a clear vision and is delivering on its objectives. We work closely with all the businesses; we enjoy excellent relationships with our stakeholders including the Test Valley Borough Council and we truly believe that Andover town centre has the potential to develop positively even in this difficult trading climate. Nick is an asset to our board, and we are delighted that he has joined us.”
