FIRE crews rushed to a housing estate in Andover after there were reports of smoke coming from a building.
On Thursday, October 21, after a call from passers-by at 10.40am reporting the smoke from a detached building in Saxon Way, crews from Andover, Stockbridge, Whitchurch and Basingstoke stations and from Dorset and Wiltshire FRS rushed to the area.
The fire service arrived to a well-developed fire on the ground floor of the property that was believed to be caused by an electrical wall light in an under-stair cupboard, spreading to some nearby clothes and then to the ground floor.
Firefighters searched the property using breathing apparatus equipment and hose reels. Luckily, no one was inside.
The stop message was received at 11.55am, and a community safety messaging was shared in the immediate vicinity.
