TEST Valley's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M27, from 8pm September 5 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 5, slip road and lane closures for street lighting work, diversion via National Highways network.
• A303, from 8pm September 23 to 6am October 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 and M3 both directions, junction 8, link road and lane closures for structures work, diversion via National Highways network and local authority.
• M3, from 8pm September 21 to 6am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound to M27 eastbound, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
• A303, from 8pm September 16 to 6am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound and westbound, Thruxton to Salisbury Road, Lane closures for drainage work.
• M27, from 8pm February 7 to 6am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 4, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion route via National Highways network.
• M27, from 9pm September 19 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5, slip road closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A303, from 8pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for electrical work, diversion via National Highways network.
• A303, from 9pm November 3 to 2am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Barton Stacey to Bullington Cross, Lane closure for Scottish and Southern Power works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
